Splitting Atom

My excuse for not doing this months ago is that I was waiting for Wordpress 1.6, which is slated to include Atom 1.0 support. I finally got impatient and dug up a patch that did the trick. I did need to download the latest 1.5x version of the atom.php file, since the one I had was apparently a bit out of date. The alternative would have been to download the latest nightly build of 1.6, but this blog is too way mission-critical for me to take any chances. That, and figuring out how to use their new-fangled source control system sounded way too scary. I’ll wait for the official release, thanks.
