Whishing
Since Internet slang coinages based on “phishing” are apparently in vogue, I decided to try my hand at it. Whishing: “Posting an indirect comment about some problem you’re having on IRC in the hope that someone will chime in and help you without you asking directly.”
Examples:
plasticmillion wonders why he’s getting strange linker errors when building Spidermonkey on the latest trunk
plasticmillion can’t remember where he put his car keys
plasticmillion could sure go for a pizza
etc.

Good one.
Phishing: playing long, improvisational jam sessions to a paying public with the express goal of making phishing “cool” again.
Knishing: snacking on something that’s wrapped in dough (or just generally snacking on whatever).

I also just thought of a FOSS rock song based on an Aerosmith original. The chorus would go “Talk is cheap, shut up and patch”. Of course, that’s entirely unrelated to the above topic, but I had to get it out of my system. My apologies, etc.

Well it always tastes better when you manage to trick someone into fetching it for you.
