A good friend of mine has been operating Atlanta charter buses for a number of years now, and he has grown it from a small scale operation to a mid-sized business in a matter of just 3 years. What he has seen in the last 6 months however has been an enormous rise in those looking to use his service and it is a clear indication of the way in which Americans have been traveling in recent months. There is obviously one clear reason as to why this has happened so much, and that is because of the pandemic. What this has inspired in so many of us is the need to explore our own nation and here is why we have seen such a spike.
Flights
Even though it is entirely possible to travel domestically and take flights to do so, people just don’t want to take the risk of going to the airport. We know that being on a plane is actually one of the safest places to be, but being inside the airport with people who have been traveling to other countries is something that is just not popular. This is exactly why my buddy’s business has seen a big rise, because being ferried around by a private bus is a much safer and more comfortable way of traveling given the current climate.
Need to Travel
Although we are not out of the woods yet with regards to the pandemic, there has been a large number of states and cities which have been slowly reopening and once that happened, there was an enormous range of people who just couldn’t wait to get out there and travel. This of course stands to reason and if you have been locked inside for long periods of time too, then the thrill of getting out and about is going to be very attractive to you.
Recognizing The Country We Live In
What we have to understand is that for all heading off abroad is attractive, living in the USA is pretty darn good too and we have a huge amount which we can discover in our very own nation. This may sound like quite a bold statement but I genuinely don’t think that enough people recognize just how beautiful this country is and in almost every state there is something fascinating to be explored.
Traveling With Family
And of course one of the biggest reasons why the likes of a charter bus company are seeing such a big rise in people wanting to use them is that they are able to take groups of people on the road. For any family who have been spending a long time apart, this is the ultimate way for them to reconnect and to spend some high quality time with one another whilst traveling.
The hope for many is that this level of domestic tourism is very much here to stay.
