Universal Studios

This is an awesome day out, this place is perfect if you are traveling alone, with friends and you can also take your family to Universal Studios. This is a theme park based around the movie scene and Hollywood, it has attractions that are updated regularly to reflect what is popular in the movie industry and some of the current rides include those dedicated to Harry Potter, King Kong and The Mummy movies. There are several hotels on-site for you to stay in and plenty of film-style restaurants where you can dine, you can spend individual days here or you could make a break of it and enjoy all that the park has to offer.

Walt Disney World

The jewel in the crown of Orlando’s theme parks, the Disney complex is a collection of 4 huge parks which include the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Across these four parks the complex houses 8 themed hotels, 9 non-Disney hotels along with 2 water parks, a camping resort, a beach, several golf courses and a racing track amongst several other popular entertainment venues. In order to do Disney properly you should ideally spend a couple of days here, even then you won’t be able to accomplish it all. Kids will love the rides, the animals and the Disney characters roaming around the parks and adults will be able to unleash their inner child with incredible rides, fabulous shows and non-stop fun.

Visit The Botanical Gardens

Away from the theme parks and the wet and wild adventures of Orlando is the breathtaking Harry P Leu botanical gardens. These semi-tropical gardens offer guests just under 50-acres of outstanding grounds filled with forests of old oaks, some up to 200 years old as well as a huge collection of beautiful trees, brightly colored tropical plants and flowers as well as huge range of ancient plants and preened hedgerows. The gardens are designed in such a way that you can freely meander through the maze-like pathways and under the tree cover to appreciate the natural beauty at its best. The area also offers various types of gardens from modern to old where you can see a wide array of different canopies and grasses from marshland to arid areas. If you have had enough of theme parks and want to relax in some natural beauty away from the crowds then the botanical gardens are the perfect place to do exactly that.
